Time is precious. Passengers therefore expect the vehicles to arrive according to the timetable and to obtain instant and accurate information regarding the movement and condition of vehicles and potential traffic disturbances.
The e-karta makes use of various types of equipment (LED displays, voice announcement systems, ticket vending machine screens, the Web) to be able to efficiently provide passengers with the above information at all locations where they come into contact with the transport service provider:
- Sales point: timetables, fare lists, information on delays;
- Station/stop: timetables, fare lists, information on delays, arrival times of the next vehicles;
- Vehicle – exterior: number and name of the line;
- Vehicle – interior: display of upcoming stops, information on delays;
- The Web: timetables, fare lists, information on delays.
